Introduction to Shadow work
What is Shadow work?
Shadow work is getting in touch with any parts of yourself that you have repressed or rejected. Your “dark side” if you will. These can arise from things like negative past experiences and trauma and are responsible for our impulsive behaviours. Dealing with our past is imperative for healing. It is very important to realize that everything in your lives cannot be “love and light” 24/7. This expectation will disappoint you in the long run because a lot of healing journey involves you coming to terms with your dark side. You will need to learn how to balance your shadow self with love and light to get the most our of your healing journey. Do not be afraid of your darkness, embrace it and learn to understand it.
